Either the world's come to an end or Bush is finally fucked |

My control key quit working so I can't post an image of this in the thread, but check it out...
The Fayettenam Observer, North Carolina's Worst Newspaper, buys Glenn McCoy's editorial cartoons. Glenn McCoy is a fully-functioning freeper, so most of his work is rah-rah Bush-is-great Democrats-suck garbage.
Today's strip was different. In it Bush was holding his spending bills and a man dressed in a sailor suit with a bottle of booze in his hand was shaking Bush and yelling "I'm a drunken sailor, George, but even I think you're spending too much."

to take back their tax cut. They'd sooner watch a gazillion poor people live naked and starve, thousands of bodies blown to bits or buried in unmarked mass graves, and more cities be drowned than give up their tax cut. That's why they are turning on him--because the blackheared, sick, evil bastards are afraid the are going to be a few bucks short of a BMW or the next McMansion.

6. Pigs fly. Elvis comes out of hiding. McCoy rebukes Bush. Film at 11. |

Glenn McCoy has never hesitated to stoop to even the lowest depths to support his Maximum Leader. For him to scrawl this cartoon is an earth-shaking event.

They are allowed to say Bush spends too much money. Because that's evidence that Bush isn't conservative enough. This doesn't translate over to Bush's leadership (or lack thereof) in other areas. Bryant Check it out --> http://politicalcomment.blogspot.com

8. Probably because it's money that's not buying bombs and missiles |

Anytime it's domestic spending, it drives the freepers nuts. They must all be on General Dynamics or Lockheeds payrolls or something.

Certainly there are a few Republicans out there who remember, ever so vaguely, when the Democrats were the party that threw money around like there was no tomorrow and the Republicans the party of fiscal restraint. Granted, Eisenhower was the last Republican president who didn't see his term as a chance to repay his rich friends for putting him in the White House, but there really was a time when we weren't faced with the choice of a "tax and spend" Democrat or a "don't tax and spend double" Republican.
(As I've written on numerous occasions, I rather like tax-and-spend Democrats; at least you know where they got the money.)
These few Republicans are kind of the elder statesmen of America, and they're starting to get pissed off that the nouveau Republican spends faster and more recklessly than any Democrat ever did.
