Stop saying "No democrats are speaking out"
All the Black Caucus leaders are!. They're democrats.

Why does everyone marginialize and minimize them?

4. That is a GREAT question
They're always outspoken, yet I have been hearing for months and months that no Democrats are speaking out. It hasn't just been on this.

5. Agreed. But we need to get the white Dems
to talk to the CBC and learn from them--follow their lead and give them due credit.

6. they almost seem like a third party
since they are completey ignored and dissed by the rest of the Dems.

The CBC are the best we have right now.

7. Did you click on the link to the Raw Story article
others are discussing on DU? Maurice Hinchley, a Dem from New York, just made a fiery speech against Bush and the Iraq War. He sure looks white in the photo.

Maurice Hinchley is saying that Bush lied to Congress. I think that is a fair accusation.

9. Why do you think that is?
Racism? or just that none of them have real electibility?

13. Because the Dems have
not taken them seriously. And everyone was worried about blacks bolting the party--well, this is why.

Insist that the CBC be INCLUDED, seriously INCLUDED, as well as the Hispanic Caucus and any other caucus at ALL times, not just during election years.

10. Dems speak out OK. But they don't have a megaphone like Fox.
Democrats say plenty. But what they say is ignored. Gore, Dean and Kerry have plenty to say. But you never see it on TV media nor hear it on the radio. Instead the pundits give the impression there is no "leadership" while totally ignoring the leaders.

11. Hey! Harry Reid is speaking out!!
By saying that Frist would have never done anything "intentionally" wrong in his stock dealings....

19. I Say The Dems Don't Speak Out Quite Often....
However, I always make mention that it seems that The Black Caucus are the only ones who happen to be carrying water for them.

They are the ones who have been out and front from the beginning! And isn't it SAD!!

Recently, there have been more speaking out, but let's NOT forget how reticent they have been up until now! There are a few exceptions, we know who they are, but as a group the Democrats in Congress have been nothing less than WIMPY!

I'm a white female, but if The Caucus wanted to form a new party, I think I could go there.
