Jr said is like an afterthought--it was weak--to save gas. Yet all I hear
on the news tonight is how Bush has asked us all to save gas--like it has some substance to it. over and over i hear this as I flip the stations.

2. in other words--they were not words of a leader taking charge--it was
his gabbled speech and his lay back attitude that makes me angry.

6. He just doesn't want this happening.......
A driver is stuck in a traffic jam on the highway. Nothing is moving. Suddenly a man knocks on the window.

The driver rolls down his window and asks, "What happened?"

"Terrorists kidnapped President Bush and are asking for a $10 million ransom. Otherwise they are going to douse him with gasoline and set him on fire. We are going from car to car to take up a collection."

The driver asks, "How much is everyone giving on average?"

"About a gallon."

Think we are all tooling around on luxury drives day in and out.

I work 6 days a week. I take my wife to work. I take the kids to school. I go to work. I come home. We do a little grocery shopping and sometimes drop the kids off at friend's houses. I usually use 15 gallons of gasoline a week.

Which of these activities would Mr. Numbnuts suggest I give up?

This winter will he suggest we all set our thermostats to 50?

Meanwhile, he burns countless thousands of gallons of jet fuel going to photo ops.

Ohhh, just fuck him, his entire family and his dead ancestors.

16. He seemed hesitant and half-hearted when talking about conservation
I thought it was interesting too that the media has made a big deal out of his remarks even though he mentioned gas conservation measures in such a quiet offhand manner, as if he really did not like talking about it.
