Bush didn't "fire" Brownie |
|
I'm soooo sick of hearing the media talk about how Bush "fired" Michael Brown.
Bush didnt "fire" Brownie...Brownie resigned.
Bush, at the press conference right after, acted like he didn't even know that Brown had resigned.
To me, it makes a big difference. "Fire" means that Bush took action and did what was supposed to be done. "Resign" means Bush left it up to Brownie to bow out, because he wasn't willing or able to take leadership.

1. When Cheney said to Chertoff "Do what has to be done", I think |
|
Brownie was given an "invitation" to resign. I think Cheney forgot to tell (snicker, snicker) Bush so he looked like the doofus he is.

2. Actually, what makes more sense is that Brownie was pushed out |
|
and Brownie, in a fit of pique, announced it before Bush got to announce it. Believe it, Brownie was scapegoated. YES, he is unqualified and incompetent, but he is not the core problem.

3. And I just heard on AAR that Brownie was rehired to FEMA |
|
to handle the investigation of what went wrong with hurricane relief.
