What Got Into Tweety?
He's ripping the Republicans and Bush a new one for their profligate use of no bid contracts to rebuild NOLA...

57. Never heard him say that
I heard him once say that he voted for Bush in 2000. Another time, more recently, he stated on his show that he voted for Bush at least once. He's never been clear about 2004 from what I've seen. Even though a lot of us don't like him I get the feeling he voted for Kerry. When I speak to my freeper co-workers and relatives I find that they hate Tweety as much as we do. Maybe that's why his ratings aren't good.

35. He's now twisting in the wind
He couldn't frame an adequate defense of the president's needing to be fed a video of the Katrina devastation. All he could do was go after the media. Not a good move Mr. King. Now you've got a pissed off Tweety going after you about Albaugh's relationships. Ooooh! Tweety got mad and is pecking King's eyes out.

10. Tweety gives me whiplash.
He wants to be where the power is. Right now he's not too certain who to suck up to. Swooning over * is not too popular now, and he hasn't found someone with the "sublime manliness" that gets him going yet on the left. He knows the tide will change. Tweety and those like him will get sucked into the undertow.

And I'll be waiting to see him get "sucked up"! Tip O'Neil might have paid him a visit in his dreams lately. But this guy has been soooooo baaaaaad for so long now, it's too soon for me to put ANY hope in how he's acting now!

And as to whether he voted for Kerry, I wouldn't bet the farm on it. He USED to be a Democrat, but that was many moons ago! His family is REPUKE! And I haven't seen ANY proof that he voted for Kerry. He sure didn't sound like he was a big supporter! He has however sounded pretty "balls up" for Georgie for some time now!!!

The light in his candle flickers too much for me!

39. Peter King.
http://peteking.house.gov/

Long Island, New York.

Congressman Peter T. King, a Republican, is serving his seventh term in the U.S. House of Representatives. First elected to represent New York’s Third District in 1992, Rep. King has received a greater number of votes than any Congressional candidate on Long Island in each of his seven races. In 2004, he won with 63% of the vote.

Rep. King serves on the International Relations Committee, Financial Services Committee and the Committee on Homeland Security where he is the Chairman of the Emergency Preparedness Sub-committee. Congressman King has also been a leader in the ongoing effort to direct more Homeland Security funding to New York and a strong supporter of the war against international terrorism, both at home and abroad.

36. Peter King is the one who let it slip that Bush was going to win 2004
There is a video floating around about this.

http://nov2truth.org/article.php?story=20050127152429310

And certainly not Republican Congressional Representative Peter King, who made an equally notable video statement on the afternoon of November 2nd, long before the polls closed, in the course of a White House function that seemed to have put him into a celebratory mood. "It's already over," he told the interviewer. "The election's over. We won." Asked how he knew at that early hour, King replied: "It's all over but the counting. And we'll take care of the counting."<3>.

49. Tweety did a bad job. How about being prepared? It took him until the...
last moments to stop the invoking of Clinton a 100 times as if that made what Bush is doing right. Rep. King was just trying to whitewash everything. That is one of the worst condescending you will see. I don't think the Times is a correct all off the time but he was off the wall. He was even criticizing Tweety to his face and Tweety responded weakly.

After Karl Rove emails him a couple pics - one a view from the rear of Cowboy Studly in tight jeans and cowboy boots setting out on another brush clearing photo op with his chain saw slung carelessly over his shoulder and another one of Squadron Leader Studly parading around the aircraft carrier flight deck with the potato stuffed down his flight suit - Tweety will get that stirring feeling in his loins and be made aware once again that his man-love for the Shrub just cannot be denied.
