Cindys account of her arrest from Huffpost
"The rumors are true this time. I was arrested in front of the White House today. It was my first time ever being arrested"

2. Maybe this was always the plan?
"The fine for "demonstrating without a permit" is $75.00. *I am certain that I won't pay it.* My court date is November 16th. Any lawyers out there want to help me challenge an unconstitutional law??"

5. Today was CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE DAY
...in the three day list of activities in DC, starting with the march.

Of course this was planned. And she is right.

4. Read what she says..

Woot! Go, Cindy! That is a bullshit law. So often they deny permits anyway.

22. It is a bullshit law
How can you say that we have a right to peaceably assemble, when we have to apply for permission to someone who can decline our permit.

I understand the need for police or traffic cops to be made aware if you're going to have a march, but I don't think it should be an application. It should be a notice, and nobody can deny you.

If you can be denied something then it's not a right, it's a priviledge. If the ability to peaceably assemble isn't a right, then we dont' live ina truly free society.

The laws on the books could be interpreted, and have been, that any group more than two people can be dispersed by the police on a whim. Does that sound like freedom or Stalin era Russia.

7. Beautiful. Truly beautiful. You're all heroes. Americans.
These neocons are frightened gold-diggers. This will backfire in their faces, like everything else they do.

Thank you, everyone who sat down at the white house for peace. For truth. For humanity.

You're all angels. :hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug:

8. Cindy and Lyndie....
Two women, one arrested, one awaiting sentence...for the same
illegal invasion of Iraq. One who lost a son, one who followed
orders and the criminals at the top go free.

We've had enough haven't we.

14. I love this part about the criminals in the White House free but...
<large snip>

"The list of crimes this administration has commited is extensive, abhorrent, and unbelievable. What is so unbelievable is that WE were arrested for exercising our first amendment rights and these people are running free to enjoy their lives of crime and to wreak havoc on the world."

16. Thanks Cindy!
"We all know by now why George won't meet with parents of the soldiers he has killed who disagree with him. First of all, he hates it when people disagree with him."

Another quote that I love:
"Being arrested is not a big deal. Even though we were arrested for "demonstrating without a permit" we were protesting something that is much more serious than sitting on a sidewalk: the tragic and needless deaths of tens of thousands of innocent Iraqis and Americans (both in Iraq and here in America) who would be alive if it weren't for the criminals who reside in and work in the White House."

20. I liked this statement from the first poster...
This administration has failed to put Bin Laden in jail, but succeeded in putting Cindy in jail.

Hmmm, sounds like a bumper sticker:

George W. Bush
The Man who jailed Cindy,
but let Osama go free.

28. I replied on HuffPost!
Is anyone else tired of this woman?
Posted by: Champlain13

Actually, no, Champlain. But I am tired of those who continually participate in smearing American citizens who dissent against the mass murder "George" and his merry band of murderers are committing in our name.

ANd since 66% of Americans polled by Gallup believe invading Iraq was wrong, it looks like the American public is growing tired of people like you.

Go ahead and smear me, post nasty little quips all you need. The world and most of America see you and your "leaders" for what you are... murderers and their accomplices.

I went to Huffpost and believe that Champlain defended Cindy. It was someone called "acupuncturist" who asked if anyone else was tired of hearing about Cindy
