My God...My NG Buddy saw dogs eating corpses in NO. |
|
He was there for 2 weeks. He contracted some crud from an infected scratch exposed to the water. We drove down to T-Town Saturday to watch the Tide play Arkansas Razorbacks (Roll Tide) and after an encounter in a Ruby Tuesdays after the game with a Katrina evacuee he told me the story. This man has been to Afghanistan and NO was worse to him. Poor people, poor dogs. I was emailed a picture today at work of a hugh (:-)) alligator that was caught in NO. They cut it open and it had human remains in it! I don't know if it was photo-shopped but it looked real to me. I can usually tell the difference.

|
The picture I have is a gator caught in front of a pipe.

6. Corpses have not been picked up from the streets for a month... |
|
Edited on Mon Sep-26-05 09:06 PM by itzamirakul
because the job of removal was contracted out to a private company...namely Haliburton...and it seems that they are just taking their good old time.
Most of the bodies left on the streets and in the homes are of African Americans, another reason why the word racism is being bandied about. As for myself, I definitely believe it IS a case of racism. Others don't have to agree.
Haliburton doesn't care as long as they get the millions and billions the government gives them on their no-bid contracts.

The clean up will bury many of them now. It's freaking terrible!

12. I wonder if they spent more money trying to find Natalie Holloway's body |
|
than in collecting the bodies in New Orleans. I'm certain the average was higher. Don't tell me it wasn't racism.

13. I hope your friend's injury heals up 100%! |

Deep-down infections can be very nasty. I know a guy whose health suffered considerably after one ... it took him a long time to get well, and even now he has not recovered completely.
