5. Thanks. Your postings re these archives are great. This cspan show

had other lots of good discussion by reporters and such about 'that time' vs. 'this time' - and also an interesting round table about today plus comments just before the Bush Gore debate. I didn't know until I watched it though.

3. 40th anniversary?

Thanks for the post. Is this the 40th anniversary of the debate, that would make the debate occur in 1965. Or maybe I need that second cup of coffee........

4. No, you're right. This was the discussion show cspan ran in 2000.

I wasn't very clear. Although the debate footage was short, the discussions were interesting -- some just before the Bush Gore debate.
