Stupidest thing said in public today
No need for more nominations. There is no way anyone will top this:

"I know what I'm doing, and I think I do a pretty darn good job of it" - Michael Brown.

18. YOU WERE RIGHT!
This is from today as well:

"I guess you want me to be the superhero that is going to step in there and suddenly take everybody out of New Orleans."

WOW... what an idiotic thing to say! He out-did himself!

3. He's referring to his role in the "Blame Game"?
From the sounds of it, he's doing an excellent job of shifting the blame to Blanco and Nagin.

5. Stupid... Or honest?
"I know what I am doing." == Killing black folks so their property might get taken by rich whites who vote GOP.

"I think I do a pretty darn good job of it" == Look at all those dead N-----s!!!

9. funny that he makes this statement, yet he is
the one who lost his job and in the eyes of the world fucked up. He can say what he wants and cnn can print that crap, but we all witnessed what happened. Brown is banking our memories are short. Mine will never forget the people who were screaming for help.

I live in Houston and the National Guard were already in Houston the day before Rita was suposed to hit.

Who are they fooling? They were late in their arrival, that simple....

10. I like this quote:
"Brown said: "Those are not FEMA roles. FEMA doesn't evacuate communities. FEMA does not do law enforcement. FEMA does not do communications."" No? Then just what the fuck is it you do?

12. On a totally unrelated note:
Edited on Tue Sep-27-05 10:24 AM by RubyDuby in GA
I simply must share something I overheard on my way down to the Bahamas on the 18th. Me and brand spankin' new hubby were heading down to a week of newlywedded bliss. On the row behind us and across the aisle were the real life incarnations of Beavis and Butthead. It was a non-stop flight and about halfway there, Beavis (the blonde) says "Dude, I can't wait to get to the Bahamas" to which Butthead (the brunette) responds "We're not going to the Bahamas dumbass - we're going to Nassau." Ok, after being forced to overhear every stupid thing they've said (because they had headphones on over their very loud rap music and were shouting to each other), I lose it and laugh out loud at them and actually start pointing at them because Mr. Rubyduby asks me what I'm laughing at and I can't answer. I swear - they must be a joy to teach.

15. and doggone it, people like me. Obligatory Stuart Smalley
ref. I was kind of surprised when Brown resigned, since that would imply that * made a mistake in hiring him.

17. No, no, no!
GW * acted on the best intelligence available when he hired Brown. Heck, even the French were convinced he was qualified! The Congress had all the same information and voted for him! It was NOT HIS FAULT! :sarcasm:
