Brown Said It: "We shouldn't Monday morning Quarterback"!!!
Mr. Brown,

Listen you incompetent ass... the WHOLE PURPOSE OF FEMA is so that we would NEVER HAVE to "Monday Morning Quarterback" a response to a catastrophe!

Federal Emergency Management Agency... do those words MEAN anything to YOU?!?!

According to the legislature, FEMA is tasked with responding to, planning for, recovering from and mitigating against disasters.

Too bad you didn't understand that.

1. will someone please just take him out behind the barn and shoot him
he clearly won't recover and it's the humane thing to do.

(DISCLAIMER: sui is being hyperbolic - no barns were injured in this statement)

Good grief - I wish the guy would just shut up. What we need to ask is, why isn't Brown under a grand jury investigation, and why is he still making money from the aftermath of his incompetence?

Normally in an investigation into What Went Wrong as far as loss of life is concerned, we don't pay the idiots who caused it to tell us what went wrong.

2. When, exactly is is okay to criticize a Republican?
Edited on Tue Sep-27-05 10:50 AM by The Backlash Cometh
According to them, you can't do it before an election, because that's mudracking; you can't do it AFTER the election, because that's sour grapes; you can't do it after they create a disaster because that's Monday morning quarter-backing; and you absolutely CAN'T do it once they declare a war.

Oh, and I almost forgot, you can't criticize them once they die of old age because no one is listening anyways since they're busting their asses to name streets after the bastards.

4. So, when do we get to play the blame game, Brownie?
We couldn't do it in the immediate aftermath, too much to do. We can't do it during a congressional hearing, because . . . well, because we shouldn't, according to you. I realize your life has been a series of blunders, moving from one lucrative position to the next to create a new blunder, but in the real world outside the cocoon of Republican crony politics, someone like you would be standing at the end of a highway exit ramp holding up a cardboard sign with the words "God bless" featured prominently on them.

6. I have zero respect for
Brown. Why? Simply because his answer to Dubya when he asked Brown to head FEMA should have been :"Mr. President. I'm honored that you even considered me, but I don't have the necessary background to run such an agency. You need a person who is well versed in the job FEMA does. I am not, I have only run a horse organization which is quite different from FEMA. So, Mr. President, thank you, but no thanks!"

9. but that would mean he actually had some integrity
which we know is impossible in a republican. Borrowed integrity halloween mask if there's something personal to be gained, but mostly personal integrity and republicans are like oil and water.

7. In the military we called it "mission debriefing"
It's SOP for any mission. Everyone gets together and looks at what was planned to happened, what actually happened, and what can be done to make it better next time. That's done even when the overall mission went well. It's that word the Bushies hate: "accountability"
