I took lots of pictures of the Turd People! They were great! I have no idea what the message was, and I kept saying 'aren't those turd people great' and nobody leaned over and said 'hey they aren't turd people they are peanut people' so I guess they were turd people. Hidey Ho!

Then they all fell down "dead."

We were never sure what they were, but their "costumes" had gender.

Since I was staying w/a friend I didn't make it to any of the DU meetups . I looked for signs and DU tee-shirts but never saw anyone. I actually asked one woman w/a DU sign if she was with Democraticunderground and she had no idea what I was talking about. Turns out her sign ("Do you know about DU? Shhhh.") was about the OTHER DU (depleted uranium). Duh. I felt like an idiot. =)

What were those people carrying the um, brown paper people (for lack of a better way to put it) trying to portray, anyway? Saw them while 'watching' the march via the traffic cam and in a few other pics, too. Still haven't figured it out.
