Currently reading "The Mass Psychology of Fascism"
Here's a TELLING quote on racism within fascist movements:

"The race ideology is a true biopathic character symptom of the orgastically impotent individual."

It goes on to say:

"The sadistic perverse character of the race ideology is also seen in the attitude toward religion. Fascism, we are
told, is the arch-enemy of religion, and a regression to paganism. On the contrary, fascism is the extreme
expression of religious mysticism. As such it appears in a specific social form. Fascism is based on that religiosity
which stems from sexual perversion; it changes the masochistic character of the old patriarchal religions into a
sadistic religion. It takes religion out of the other-world philosophy of suffering and places it in the sadistic
murder in this world."

1. Facism= Corporate Controlled Governance. Those Obsessed With
material gain (this includes power) may use a veil of religious symbolism... but their lack of understanding when it comes to the actual meaning at the heart of that symbolism renders them ultimately impotent.
This is why fascism will always be doomed to failure despite any temporary appearances to the contrary.

Frankly, facism seems more equal to Materialism.

3. To be honest
Right-wing Christianity seems more equal to materialism, too.

Haven't you ever seen Pat Robertson praying over a pile of money? I have. Heck, half of his show is about stock tips. To them, money equals God's grace.

5. you are right! But I refuse to cede the word "Christian" to these fakers
or Pharisees.

Just cause the NeoCons call themselves Patriots doesn't mean they are.

2. Very true
And insights like that are why the US government (through the FDA) burned all of the author's books and threw him in jail in 1957 (where he died).

4. Here's the URL for that book:
http://www.freedomfiles.org/articles/Reich_-_The_Mass_Psychology_Of_Fascism.pdf

Reich is considered by many to have "gone around the bend" in his latter years, with his "Orgone Box' stuff. But his earlier works are still highly regarded. As good and perhaps better was by Eric Fromm. Not that it has any particular bearing on this discussion, but here's a favorite quote by Fromm: "There is perhaps no phenomenon which contains so much destructive feeling as "moral indignation," which permits envy or hate to be acted out under the guise of virtue".

I haven't read that Reich book yet. I saw it mentioned (probably here on DU) and bookmarked it. But having seen it here, I'll read it pronto.
