Is this the biggest bunch of B.S you've ever heard???
Quotes from Michael Brown, former head of FEMA.

<<snip>>

I've overseen over 150 presidentially declared disasters. I know what I'm doing, and I think I do a pretty darn good job of it.

<<snip>>

I very strongly personally regret that I was unable to persuade Governor Blanco and Mayor Nagin to sit down and get over differences and work together.

I just couldn't pull that off. I want this committee to know Fema pushed forward with everything it had, every team, every asset it had, in order to help what we saw as potentially catastrophic disaster.

2. It is very close.
I have been bullshitted too many times throughout life and that is right up there amongst the biggest, most outrageous, packs of crap I have ever heard.

13. Yup, that would be perjury for $50. USS Bataan google it.
A big ass ship with landing craft, water tankers, MRE's, hospital facilities, you name it. It sat offshore of New Orleans for days while her Captain begged for authorization to go active and use some of those toys.

The only way Brownie can avoid a perjury charge now is to go item by item of the list of refused aid and admit that he, and his staff, had no idea that they were available. It was an evil receptionist refusing to distribute assets.

Beaumont, Texas is saying the same sh!t about my organization (FEMA). It just can't get seem to get it done."

(Of course, sending ice to Maine was important. Someone needs to ask the Brownie whazzzzz up with that?!)

For the record, I work in just-in-time logistics. It isn't that hard. Why? Where? Who? When? Simple freaking questions, simple concrete answers. The people of AL, MS and LA should have had 1) WATER 2) ICE 3) FOOD 4) MONEY within a day of the storm. That person (Brownie) is crazier than a shithouse rat, to borrow grandpa's colorful language.

I don't care if Nagin/Blanco weren't following his script; this asshat HAD THE POWER to coordinate around them, yet HE DID NOTHING. He's a piece of work, this guy.
