A freeper is a kind of a worm-like garden slug which frequents a Web site named "The Free Republic". Noted for their extreme consumption of a tonic named Repug Kool-Aid and for exhibiting the inevitable mind-numbing of that heady potable, Freepers like to frequent the enclaves of the opposition and attempt to bait them into useless Bugs Bunny vs. Daffy Duck like arguments. Did. Didn't. Did. Didn't. Did. Didn't. Etc. Ad nauseum.

For me, that's what a Freeper is. You can always tell them around here.
(But you can't tell them much.)

A "Freeper" is shorthand for a member of the conservative, hate-spewing website freerepublic.com (what an ironic name!) At DU we use "freeper" or "freep" to denote any right-wing nut-job, but especially those who bothered to join at THAT (:eyes:) website.
