about the war's ultimate purpose -- that his alleged "blunders" (the escape of bin Laden, the emergence of Islamic theocracy in Iraq) are in fact expressions of secret policy and clandestine intent: the strengthening of Islamic theocracy throughout the entire Middle East, part of his support for theocracy in general whether Islamic or Christian -- opiate-of-the-masses religion to safeguard the wealthy ("God's select") and tyrannize all the rest of us. This is in keeping with his ever-more-apparent policy of unconditional support for the most Tyrannosauric forms of capitalism: Iraq or New Orleans, it is all the same thing: open-ended no-bid contracts for the plutocrats, poverty for everyone else. Note how the survivors of Katrina are officially denied adequate wages even as they are now being brainwashed by Fundamentalists getting fat off federal funds. Therefore to oppose the war in Iraq is (1)--to recognize that Bush is the most cunning, tyranny-minded president in U.S. history and (2)--to oppose his entire campaign of class warfare -- omnipotence for the rich, total powerlessness for everyone else. When we understand Bush's unity of purpose -- that he is the ultimate achievement of American capitalism and its intent to turn all the earth into a slave-planet -- then the necessity of the anti-war effort becomes undeniable.
