2. I do appreciate Woody's courageous political stance. >
You'd have to strap me down and shoot me up with morphine, however, to listen to more than two of his songs in a row.

Mermaid Ave. notwithstanding.

3. Great photo and web site..
saw this photo for the first time last night on PBS' Bob Dylan special - I never saw this before - after all these years it surely was inspiring - what do ya think the odds are that we'll (finally) see and hear a renewed revival of contemporary artists passing the torch?

I know there are few great artists who've been at it for decades and a few great young people who are bringing a new sound to the tradition - but ... but we never hear it on the radio... unless it's independents, Pacifica or select programs on AAR and so on.

4. I doubt you will here it on the radio
Corporate radio won't play anything that attacks the status quo. Luckily, the influence of corporate radio is decreasing with mp3's, iPods, and satellite radio. I have XM radio and they have a channel that only plays folk music, a channel that play independent artists, a college radio channel, and a public radio channel. A few of the more mainstream channels also play some good stuff. That gives a good variety to hear this type of stuff.
