Wall Street Journal pushing for Janice Rogers Brown for next justice.

Since they appear to have won with Roberts, W's base wants him to go further right on the next justice.

And of course she is a twofer - female and black. So they get to play the race and gender cards both.

Who would be next if they get to appoint one more justice - Senator Palpatine?

2. I'm betting it will be a non-white, female extremist ideologue
I can already hear the charges already of Democrats are bigots, racists, and sexists.

Don't know if it will be Brown, but odds are it will be a woman. Isn't Brown the one with the 'daughter of a sharecropper' story? If Laura can influence him to nominate a woman, maybe she'll also sweet talk him into naming a pro-choice candidate.

Then again, odds of that are about as good as me winning the powerball lottery. (Just to clarify, I don't play the lottery.)

3. Yes, that is her.

And the public loves stories of people who have risen to prominence from very humble beginnings.

Her husband died of cancer and she finished college and law school as a single working mother.

The public loves that kind of stuff.

6. Good, i hope he nominates her

She is insane and it will be plain to see. She thought the new deal was unconstitutional. If she is nominated we might actually see the dems fight tooth and nail to block her.

I heard on CapitolBuzz it might be Harriet Miers the top council to the president:

Edit: I really should hit the spell check before I post in the morning. lol

7. We Can Say The Republicans Want To Take Your Social Security Way...
We need an avuncular figure like the late Gregory Peck to skewer her....

Gregory Peck is the one who skewered Bork...

Peck was perfect for the role...

Lefties like Paul Newman and Robert Redford are great but they can't capture Peck's Atticus Finch demeanor...

9. Harriet Miers. I had to look her up. No paper trail.

A stealth candidate. She might be a back-up if Brown is defeated.

However, if he nominates her, then he has another high profile confirmation battle on her replacement. I think he will let her sit where she is.

8. I just threw up a little bit in my mouth.
Janice Rogers Brown's record is too accessible and too extreme. I'm thinking Edith Brown Clement or Al Gonzales.
