GOP examples of opposition to Equal Rights for All Americans |
|
Quick, give me some policy decisions that prove the current administration is not remotely interested in equal rights. I've already got the obvious same-gender marriage issue. I'd like to bury someone in examples.
Have at it.
Thanks for the help!

3. They certainly don't seem to care if the average American... |

has access to quality health care. Given the fact that it takes LOTS of money to get health insurance, there are many Americans that go without health care. The right-wing response when I have brought this up in the past is that people who can't afford to pay for health care can always go to the emergency room where they don't have to pay if they can't afford to do so. Of course, going to the emergency rooms don't handle preventive care, follow-up care or expert care for specific problems. (Additionally, as an aside, this approach will cause more and more emergency rooms to close down, which has already started to happen.) Also, prescription drugs are another health care issue where some Americans are treated like second-class citizens. If a person is poor enough, he/she can get assistance from the government. However, that "poor enough" line is very low.

This would have made women equal to men under everything.

are fully "out of the closet". (i.e., the whole "don't ask, don't tell" thing.)
This would change if it were up to Democrats.
