4. The case is "under advisement" |
|
The government asked for yet another extension, and the court has held a hearing on that request. The judge is considering a decision on the matter, and there is no hard and fast deadline for issuing that decision. However, in federal court I believe that after a decision has been under advisement for 60 days, any party can send a reminder notice to the judge, and the judge then has 30 days to issue a decision. If the case is still under advisement at that time, any party can then refer the matter to the District Court's committee that oversees judicial decisions and behavior, and they'll nag the judge.
It could be a while yet, as I don't think the initial 60 days runs until near the end of October.
