Republican talking points are flying now |
|
Faux News stated that Earle is a nut. I'm serious. Claimed Earle once brought an indictment against himself.
Delay went off on Earle.
All out attack mode on Earle by the talking heads.
Rove has obviously had these talking points in place for months waiting for the indictment.

2. I don't think Earle gives a damn about their talking points. |

He's got DeLay's ass in his briefcase and DeLay can squirm and moan all he wants.

3. Before today they went out of their way to point out how fair he was |

That's all I ever heard from these very same "pundits" before today; Ronnie Earl was a consumate prosecutor, and party lines didn't deter him from going after corruption. All Ronnie Earl cared about was catching the bad guys, no matter whether they rode a donkey or an elephant.
But today, when one of those caught in his web is their own, suddenly he's a raging loony. Sooo typical. But can you blame them? They've got nothing else.

5. It's gonna be kinda hard to weasel out of this one. |

The thing that happens when someone at the top starts to fall is the people beneath them all start to push. Rove can blast fax the media all he wants but rank and file Republican politicians will see this as an opportunity. With Bush's plummeting poll ratings Rove may not be able to keep them in line.

in charge. It's pathetic, although I'm optimistic the tide is turning and America is waking up.

Actually, two variations:
"Partisan Prosecutor"
"Partisan Prosecution"
Those are the words that the evil talking heads will be spewing all over the teevee on Sunday.
