everything is Washington is politically motivated.
Better question would be whether the investigation is partisan. To which I would expect an 80% "No" response.

13. It's not actually a Washington issue |
|
it's in Texas. May be splitting hairs. Or maybe not. One would HAVE to believe that Delay is not criminally culpable AND that the prosecutor is a partisan hack to believe it's politically motivated. Neither is true. The evidence is out there.

17. I think they included that category for those who |
|
believe Delay is guilty, but can't escape the idea that "everything is political". That's why a clear NO vote is that much stronger in this poll.

19. But the question is NOT "Do you think Tom Delay is guilty?" |
|
The question asks about the "political" nature of the indictments.
The original question was a simple yes or no affair.

44. They included it because the last one was 80%-20% against |
|
DeLay. This one mutes that public opinion is strongly against him.

20. Another nonsense question |
|
What does it mean to say that an investigation into a politician's misconduct is politically motivated? If the person being investigated makes his living from politics, anything attaching to him becomes political almost by definition.
Why don't they ask whether Bush's repeated forays down to Texas and Louisiana are politically motivated? They are, and everyone knows it. There's no question. Is the investigation into DeLay's wrongdoing politically motivated? Of course. What a stupid question, designed to obscure DeLay's crime and highlight the prosecutor's motivation.

22. I agree that the question is worded to elicit that response |
|
but the prosecutor in the case has a long history of charging politicians from his own party, so actually it's a clear NO, despite MSNBC's attempt to get you to say YES.

25. I think it's the same as previous... |
|
But they didn't like the trend of the other one, and are hoping the folks that already voted NO will not learn of this one and come back to vote again.
Fair and balanced right?????
