BEYOND DELAY: THE 13 MOST CORRUPT MEMBERS OF CONGRESS -- New Website Launches – www.beyonddelay.org at NOON

Washington, DC -- Today, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) released a 93-page report entitled Beyond DeLay: The 13 Most Corrupt Members of Congress, documenting the egregious, unethical and possibly illegal activities of the most tainted Members of Congress. For the first time, CREW has compiled and analyzed all these members’ transgressions in tandem with the federal laws and congressional rules they may have violated.

CREW has also launched a new website, www.beyonddelay.org, which details the tainted thirteen’s violations and encourages visitors, through the website, to contact their member of Congress to ask for an investigation of these members.

The 13 members are:

-- Rep. Roy Blunt (R-MO)

-- Rep. Randy Cunningham (R-CA)

-- Rep. Tom Feeney(R-FL)

-- Rep. William Jefferson (D-LA)

-- Rep. Marilyn Musgrave (R-CO)

-- Rep. Bob Ney (R-OH)

-- Rep. Richard Pombo (R-CA)

-- Rep. Rick Renzi (R-AZ)

-- Rep. Charles Taylor (R-NC)

-- Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA)

-- Senator Rick Santorum (R-PA)

-- Senator Bill Frist (R-TN)

-- Senator Conrad Burns (R-MT)

9. Check this out
http://www.beyonddelay.org/beyond_delay/rep_maxine_waters_d_ca

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) has been a member of the U.S. House of Representatives since 1991, representing the 35th district of California. Her ethical problems arise from her exercise of this power to financially benefit her daughter, husband and son.

10. Yes, Maxine Waters
"Maxine Waters (D-CA) is an eighth-term member of the U.S. House of Representatives, representing the 35th district of California. A powerful and renowned politician in her state, Rep. Waters is recognized for her unique ability to unite voters in South Los Angeles around causes she deems important. Her ethics issues stem from the exercise of this power to financially benefit her daughter, husband and son. Rep. Waters’ family has earned a total of more than $1 million in the last eight years through business dealings with companies and issue organizations Rep. Waters has assisted."

Start reading at page 75 of that document. The reasoning for her being on the list is sound nd they appear to be very non-partisan in their judgement of corruption in Congress.

8. Out of Frying pan--into fire
He is my "Rep" from one of the most Conservative/Fundie places in the USA. Since Assembly of God moved their HQ here, no Dem can get elected garbage collector---no matter how Jebus-like they may be.
What underhanded crap he didn't know before, he has been learning at DeLay's knee. His son is the Governor of MO, and the nepotism runs deep in the state.
