what is it lately with bbc world news on pbs? |
their guests are increasingly more from conservative think-tanks, with little or no liberal counterpoint.
i expect this in the american news media, but bbc used to be a lot more politically balanced.

1. I don't know - but it bothers me that they don't SAY that they are from |
conservative think-tanks. They just mention the name of them, as if they are businesses.

2. Are you sure its BBC "World" News? |
On television, it changed to BBC AMERICA a couple of years ago. Maybe less. I immediately lost faith...the whole point of BBC World News was to see WORLD news, not an Americanized version. If there is a tie-in with the new GOPBS, then I'd guess Tony The Poodle has gotten to them the say way Chimpy's got his mitts into PBS.

4. IIRC, the Carlyle Group picked up a substantial stock holding |
in BBC earlier this year. That may have something to do with it.

5. I don't think you can have that right |
Since the BBC doesn't have shareholders, it's impossible.
