with her baby - she's the lady with the baby that wasn't waking up outside the Superdome or COnvention Centre. Oh he's a beautiful little recovering baby. Her cousin recognized Lee Ann on TV during the crisis, tracked her down at a shelter and found her. The cousin picked her up and she's now with her in North Carolina. One more happy ending. edit -sp.

 I'm a sucker for happy endings.
I hope the mom can get a chance at a decent life with her son.

The puppy story really got to me and then when I saw that last story I was crying--from happiness. Poor woman has had a rough life. I am so glad her little boy made it.

NBC news crew by a man who was entering the Superdome and knew they didn't allow pets. He asked the crew to please take care of his dog. They did. The dog lived with the crew for this past month and they finally located the owner. The puppy recognized him right away and couldn't stop licking the guys face. Such a precious scene!

9. So glad to see this! It was reported last week that the baby had died. |
|
I sure wish I could remember the news show that reported that this baby didn't make it. I KNOW I didn't imagine it, because I got so upset that I told several people I know. I would much rather look like the fool that I did and have that cute little boy alive and WELL! YAY!
I'm not sure I want to repeat anything I hear on the news anymore. Again, sure glad they were wrong on this one.

11. I was channel surfing so much, that I can't remember where I heard it. |

I did use the case of that poor woman and her child, AND the misinformation to blast some right wing racist crap sent to me in an e-mail. I'm so glad to see that little baby alive and well. Like I said, it made me look a bit stupid because I had used the news story claiming the passing of the baby as my fight against their racist comments, but I am certainly, without a doubt, glad the news media messed up on this one. I've sent out an e-mail to "this person" and her mail group telling them that the information I had was wrong.
