Just glad with the US Sup Ct Docket - Anna Nicole Smith.... |
|
Well, I'm glad the US Sup Ct is going to start hearing the most important issues in the future. It is wise for them not to even mess with cases like an American citizen being held without charges, the detaining of people with out due process or the abuse of prisoners.
Thank goodness they have finally came to their senses.

10. Well ... actually, my hubby is the Proud Pastafarian! |
|
I, alas, belong to Church of Religious Science ( www.rsintl.org ).
He is actually O.K. with that.
We are welcoming and affirming; we honor all paths (including Pastafarianism). We honor, study, celebrate most traditions, including, of course, Talk-Like-A-Pirate Day.
I think Beloved Daughter (9) is leaning towards Pastafarianism.
It is a mixed marriage/family. Hope I'm still O.K.
Take care! (Ramen!)

the question of whether a federal court can exercise jurisdiction over a matter that began essentially as a state court ruling on a probate matter does have broader implications, the tackiness of the parties notwithstanding.

5. actually I have to disagree |

One of the things that is supposed to make this country great is the concept that anyone can take their case all the way to the supreme court.
Personally, I hope she wins. Then maybe she will stop "working". :-)

9. And the old goat did MARRY her. Second guessing of such choices |
|
by the courts really does threaten the institution of marriage, in a way that the union of same sex partners never could.

Maybe she'll be looking for a new husband? I mean, we know that Clarence Thomas likes kinky sex (thank you, Anita Hill!). Maybe she'll give Scalia a blowjob and turn him into a Democrat?

11. Justice Thomas has a can of Coca-cola for her... |
|
Can imagine him needing to question her in his chambers...On an unrelated note an Oklahoma District court judge is on trial for, among other things, using a hand operated vacuum penis pump. There has been testimony that the clerks and others could hear him pumping it up during trials. So when the Anna-Nicole case comes up, be veeeewwwwwyyy qwiet!
