pretty powerful "over there" on tonight, dealt with soldier trauma |
|
all the episodes have been dealing how much the soldiers hate being over there, but this one puts it really up close leading to a shocking conclusion.

1. Wonder what freepers think about this show? |
|
I haven't seen it, but from this, and other things I've heard about it, it seems to contradict their orgasmic illusion of the war.

2. oh, it absolutely does |
|
and any instance where a soldier is gung ho ends with the soldier having his innocence/illusions ripped away and he'll either be crying or walking away in stunned silence by the end of the ep.

One of my "must see" programs. Tonight's episode was intense. The ending was a stunner. I knew the medic was pretty burnt out, but I didn't see that coming.
Man, I used to hate the redheaded (alcoholic) wife with a passion but it's nice to see her finally getting her **** together. The amputee husband is getting to me though. Still so gung-ho after everything he's been though and giving his (babealicious) wife hell. But I wish they'ld have more urban sets (in Iraq). In real life not everything's small adobe hut towns out in the middle of nowhere. It could make for some very tense episodes. The show could use some corrupt Iraqi authorities too.

my chin hit the ground at the end, wow...
yeah, i've turned on Bo too, he's still an ass after i thought his wife got him to change last week. i'm waiting for the alcoholic wife to change, it does seem like she's on her way, but i don't see her husband forgiving her. besides, wasn't he all over Mrs. B last week?
do you know how long this season is? if it's the typical 10 ep first season, aren't we nearing the end? it'd be interesting to see them in baghdad, but there are plenty of villages and problems outside of baghdad, fallujah, et al.
