Did Republican policies lead to Bill Frist's troubles?
I heard that his family hospital chain (HHC) filed an unsatisfactory earnings report in large part due to "non-payment of services".

When citizens slip into poverty (because of administration policy) then slip in the bathroom, they have to go to....the hospital.

Lack of a health plan is of secondary consideration to survival and the hospital gets into a position of balancing fee collection with the high cost of suing destitute people who will NEVER have the funding to pay for serious injury.

Republican principles led to Bill Frist's temptation to cut his losses in HHC and illegally dump his shares.

As an aside, I bet all those CEOs at GM are glad they threw all that cash at Buxh/Cheney '04 too, now that they're staring at all those Hummers sitting in the car lots.

Why do these people support the very agenda that cuts them off at the knees?

2. Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee stop dealing with HCA
because HCA's prices were 30% higher than other hospitals in the state.

HCA wouldn't come down on the price, and BCBC told their costumers that in the event of an emergency they would be covered, but otherwise find a new hospital, clinic and/or new doctors. A bunch of doctors had to seek out priveleges at other hospitals and clinics. The largest insurer in the state, no less. All the government employees are on it. It's my insurer.

This was two years ago, and as far as I know, nothing was ever worked out.
