1. Very interesting
That second one illustrates a point some of us were discussing on another thread. Someone noted how this administration had promised to "bring accountability back": I commented that their version of accountability seemed to mean pointing fingers at everyone but themselves. Your toon is very apt.

3. about "Denial"
yesterday afternoon my boss pops his head in my office to tell me about DeLay being indicted..

I chuckled and said "Next - watch bush* or his cronies go into denial and say they don't know Tom Delay."

My boss looks puzzled - "How can they do that - there's photos and everything of bush* and delay together..."

I shake my head and smile - "just watch the spin - with the Katrina mess and Iraq - bush* is in deep doo-doo, the DeLay indictment is icing on the cake - they have to distance themselves from him"

about an hour or so later - my boss and I are going over some project notes, he has NPR radio on in his office - radio show is discussing the Delay indictment. Two guests are on - one from the left side of the aisle and the other from the right.

as expected the guy from the left side is spinning this as doom for Delay and how it's going to hurt the repugs.

the it was the other guy's turn -- he led off by saying <"paraphrasing here"> "...Tom Delay and the President aren't friends, they travel in different circles....."

6. You've nailed it
the hypocritical actions of the repukes, who promised to bring honesty and integrity back to government are shown for what they are. BTW, love the Brownie hat. Hadn't thought of them since about 1958.

8. Yes, I remember those ... aren't they called Tams?
I remember wearing a "John Deere Green" type-color Tam as a Girl Scout. I love the few years I spent as a Girl Scout. Still have my pocket knife to pass down to my daughter ;).

In fact, I'm recommending that our Dear Leader pResident give old "Brownie" the "Circus Performer Badge" with his "Medal of Freedom"? Granted it's not as coveted as my "Square Dancing" or "Camping" badges but DID WE NOT see "three rings" during the testimony of this moran before the Senate a few days ago?
