See, I'd take my black lab, Budward, to the airport, etc.--wherever Fatherland Security needs some drug/money/bomb sniffing presence-- and just walk him around all serious-looking. Maybe I'm wearing some officialish hat or badge (Hubby's Cicero Illinois Police Badge, circa 1950, 'Real Home Of The Chicago Mafia' is still big and super-shiny. It would do.)

Now my dog ain't trained to sniff anything but the cat's butt and the trashcan. But WHO NEEDS TO KNOW THAT? Wouldn't his mere presence cause the naughtyguys pause? I'm thinking yeah. I know the local HS stinks of fear when the Sherrifs drughounds make the rounds, huh?

It's all about prevention.

So...do you think HLS will bite? I'll do it for like 100 bucks an hour. Think of the savings! If KBR subbed me that contract they'd charge a grand and I'd get $5.15.

We would ,of course, draw the line at Budward impersonating a search & rescue or cadaver dog. Unless it pays time & a half.
