11. Yes! They're already pushing for a "Conservative Woman to |
|
balance the court" saying there's already a liberal justice (Ginsberg). However, as much as they demonize her for being the most liberal ACLU bitch, they're going to use her as the standard for putting what they perceive as the proportionate opposite to 'balance'.

6. Depends on the woman... |
|
...Owens and Rogers should most definately be opposed (but likely won't, because the GOP will whine and claim the Dems are being anti-woman or racist)...

10. That's a difficult question to answer. What if it's one of the two |
|
nut cases he just pushed through to sit on the Fed courts? Janice Rogers Brown or Priscilla Owen.
I don't think it matters wether he names a woman, a minority, or a monkey, any of them could be a disaster for America.

I want someone qualified. Female, black, white, purple, whatever. I'd like there to be another woman, but I also know WHICH women he would nominate.

14. At least MSNBC has a response portion where you can respond to the |
|
question. I recommended a woman be chosen but outlined more specifically that a woman who is radically reactionary in reference to woman's reproductive rights and freedoms, and the civil rights of all Americans would be a poor choice regardless of gender.

I know, it is important to have women represented as O'Connor lent a new understanding to women's rights.....
I would have liked to see should Bush nominate a moderate.... cause thats the real role O'Connor had on the court.

18. Yeah, she was somewhat of a moderate, at least by BushAmerican |
|
standards; but she bared her fangs when she cast her treasonous vote giving Bush the 2000 election and paving the way for the takeover of the Supreme Court.
I assume her "Chief" is saving a spot for her in Hell.

yes when I wrote that, I held back the "she may be moderate, but her allegiance is still to the GOP" rage..... Wasn't seh a tad bit worried when it appeared as if Gore was going to win on election night? I can't forgive her for that.....
