13. Thanks.
But it looks like the legal geniuses here have already figured it out.

And now, back to the rollercoaster ride from hell.

2. He orders the gov't to release the docs
"I order the government to produce the Darby photographs that I have determined are responsive and appropriately redacted."

The plaintiffs win their motion and the defendents (gov't) lose their motion.

19. Three courts have ruled the DOJ has to release my cousin-in-law..
for lack of any evidence. He picked up in the post 911 sweeps. His butt is still in prison in PA while his family langishes in OH.

I am always surprised when a court actually prevails against the BFEE.

8. This is great news!
I just wish, though, that each of the judges that have ruled this way ordered the photos to be in the court at the time of the ruling so that they could be handed over then & there. Otherwise we may never see them.

14. Boosh & rummy will just take it to the Supremes. And Roberts is now
Chief Justice. You don't think for ONE MINUTE that the Supremes will allow those photos released, do you?

This fight isn't anywhere NEAR over.

Sadly, by the time this gets resolved, not many will care.

20. "Sadly, by the time this gets resolved, not many will care."
I don't agree. This fairly ungraphic image of Nazi scum about to murder a group of men and child will resonate forever in the psyche of those who view it.

I say, the pictures have a life of their own and, when released, whenever released, they will tear many bricks out of the wall that Boosh has built up to protect his sanctioning of torture and possibly murder.

16. This line is paydirt...
Edited on Thu Sep-29-05 12:14 PM by ClassWarrior
U.S. District Judge Alvin K. Hellerstein ordered the release of certain pictures, saying terrorists in Iraq and Afghanistan have proven they "do not need pretexts for their barbarism."

It's applicable not only to the torture pictures, but also to the argument against timelines and exit strategies for Iraq.
