Five U.S. soldiers killed by roadside bomb in Iraq
http://www.alertnet.org/thenews/newsdesk/BAK959786.htm

BAGHDAD, Sept 29 (Reuters) - Five U.S. soldiers were killed when a roadside bomb blew up next to their vehicle as they were involved in combat operations west of Baghdad, the U.S. military said on Thursday.

The soldiers, assigned to the 2nd Marine Division, were killed near Ramadi, about 110 km (65 miles) west of Baghdad, on Thursday, a statement from the military said. Ramadi has been a focus of insurgent activity over the past two years.

No further details about the incident were released.

More than 1,900 U.S. soldiers have died in Iraq since the start of the war. By far the biggest killer of U.S. forces has been roadside bombs -- explosives planted next to the road and detonated as U.S. vehicles are passing.

13. "When is enough enough... "
When the twins go to the "front lines". When every legislator who says that we cannot pull out now, for whatever reason, puts their own children on the "front lines". That is when they will understand how precious are the lives of the troops that they send to fight in an illegal war based on lies. Then they would bring home the troops and the UN will be sent in to assist the Iraqis in rebuilding what we have destroyed.

9. I wonder what these kids, who are over there, thinking
I know there will be a few who want to kill all the Iraqi's as they can. But I suspect there are a large number of them who feel they are trapped with no where to turn, no ear to hear.

10. Military literature
The only thing perfect I have ever accomplished in my life was creating my son. He is a senior in HS and we have been getting so much literature on different military branches. The reading is great, free health care, 100% payment of tuition blah blah blah blah.

Then I read these post, brief headlines in the news, talk at work, news papers, ...... and we are being slaughtered while we slaughter others. I get so sick to my stomache and then I wonder in a fearfull way how do "they" know my son is graduating and we need money for school. Kind of erie don't you think?
