Roberts is now our Chief Justice!?! Give me a fucking break!

Puke! So when we impeach Bush is there any way to just make all of his appointments null and void?

1. You'd think it would work that way
but it doesn't.

Some friendly advice: try not to make so much sense in GD - the purity-monitors'll bring the roof down on your head for it. ;)

7. I don't care, I'm not that far left, I'm no purist
however corporatists in either party are doing nothing but taking away the rights of Americans and giving them to corporations. It makes me sick.

Sorry but until we truly start to call out those that do not care about our rights cough*voting*cough the democratic party is completely wasting our time.

10. True dat!
when consistency of voting for priniples is apparent then that politician can aggregate respect. If it's a craven vote to curry favor well then, why bother with a craven politician.:freak:

6. I've been thinking the same thing! I couldn't believe that
Byrd would vote for the Bankruptcy bill, or Feingold but not Bayh would vote for Roberts--it's like they're taking turns so nobody takes the whole rap for selling out to the corporations!

17. Hell I'm no purist either
And one of the few on DU that doesn't even castigate those that voted for the IWR or the patriot act. I understand the circumstance. I forgive it even-while many here damn them to hell for life (or thereabouts) But GODDAMN IT people-(the Dems) once you see you have been lied to, decieved, cheated, your good intentions used for torture and subverting the constitition why in the fuck would you trust anything Bush proposes or the people he chooses??

I understand being had. I was originally had by the Iraq war. But I fessed up-saw I was wrong-and opened my eyes to how truly monumentally rotten and frankly, evil these people are that we are up against. I cannot hum and close my eyes and pretend it's going to be all right.

The question is: Are these Dems that STUPID, or just cowards or souless political hacks. I really want to know. Reading Feingold's reasons-he thinks the Republicans will play nice with a Democrats nominess in the future. He is seriously deluded. Absolute power is what the Republicans have now and they are not letting go of a piece of it? Why would they?
