I work in Mid-town. Where are you staying? Maybe we can get a group together for dinner/drink/whatever?

5. I am subletting and staying in my old
area downtown... i have to do some work stuff here and there, but would like to meet a few DUers in town... I don't have time to arrange anything, however, or plan anything for all of us as I am exhausted and working my arse off.

but if someone builds it, i will come:)

22. It will be my first trip back since the "big event" as well.

I'll never forget seeing and smelling it for the first time.

I was there 3 wks after 9/11 - for my 30th birthday. My friends gave me a suite at the W as a birthday present. Favorite hotel room I've EVER been in - and that says a lot because I travel for work.

Have a blast for me. Love SoHo. Actually.....love it all. And I must admit that I'm quite jealous you are going.

Edited to add that if you have some free time, you might consider stopping in The International Center for Photography. I'm kind of a museum slut and try to hit various ones when I'm in town. This place blew me away. For more info, check out there ICP here: http://www.icp.org/

17. I know... I had to depend on the kindness of strangers
Or I would have been packed in a box on the street somewhere. I think the cheapest i could find was over 250 a night. Good luck on your citizenship. It is really inspiring to be a part of the naturalization process... and then you wake up with Shrub and Dick as your leadership.

18. Actually it's the other way around. ;)
I'm getting Greek citizenship because of my heritige and the better freedom of travel for being a EU citizen surely doesn't hurt.

12. I used to be a NYC girl. Now I'm 10 miles away in Joisey. I'm in the city
often, would love to have drinks or whatever and meet up with DU NYers. I would be honored to meet you Lala, I admire Raw Story and your Huffington posts and all the work you've been doing. You are inspirational. What days will you be in town? All week. Let me know.
DUer Betty Ellen lives in Hoboken, I'd love to meet her too.

15. Sat - Sat a full
Seven days... but schedule for stuff is getting silly and crazy:

Cannot do Sat night
Cannot do Monday day

Might be able to do Thurs and Fri. Wed is holiday, but I imagine we could count that as a day of possible DU event... as I am no where near home... walking the streets of NYC like a hooker, lol. No really though, would love to meet you as well. Can someone organize something?
