WTF, this is really, really bizarre... |
|
Progress for American-Voter Fund just ran an ad PRAISING the Democrats who voted for John Roberts. :wtf: PFA is a conservative 527 that goes after liberals because liberals want to take all your money and spend it on social programs instead of war, weapons and tax breaks for the rich.
In their ad they say the Democrats rose above partisan politics and voted for Roberts in a straight up or down vote.
Could somebody tell me why they would do something like this? I worry when Democratic senators receive accolades from conservative political groups. :banghead:

1. About half the DC Dems are hard-core Republican activists. |
|
So this praise is well-earned.

I'm furious beyond words at the utter capitulation by the phony Dems who voted for Roberts.
At a time when w's regime is taking massive hits from prosecutors, the media, and the public, these "Democrats" continue to give w everything his little heart desires.
They no longer have anything to fear from w - they could put him away any time. But they're on his side - firmly and irrevocably.

21. How much political power do we have now? Zero, zip, zilch. |
|
Gore won, w lost, and everybody knows it. So what?
Kerry won, w lost, and everybody knows that too. So what?
Democrats are the majority in this country. But we have NO power - thanks to the capitulationist cretins that misrepresent us in Washington.

5. Very simple. Rooted in psychology. |
|
It is a reward system. They are rewarding the ones that did what they want by showering praise and accolades. Instead of blasting the ones that DIDN'T vote their way...they will use a positive message so as to influence them psychologically to seek praise time and time again. A reward system is a complex contract. Psychologists have successfully used reward systems to train self-care, symptom improvement, social interaction, education, and job training in various patient populations, including psychiatric patients, mentally retarded people, juvenile delinquents, criminals, alcoholics, and drug addicts. We can add politicians to the list if this works.:eyes:

I know about the reward system but if it works on politicians we have a lot to worry about.

9. Catapulting The Propaganda. |
|
They are pushing the theme that King George's nominees are really, really grand. Those nominees are so grand that the "reasonable" Democrats even agree.
Since King George's nominees are so grand and the Democrats agree, any future nominee should also be voted in. If not, then the Democrats are being *Radical Obstructionists*.
That's what I saw in that ad.

Attacked him for being too conservative, meaning, "why would you ol' dems want to vote for someone so conservative."
I, personally, think they might be a covert arm of the DLC -- would make sense, in this instance, too.
