I dont want to hate Bush voters but the judges have got me thinking
We were so close to passing stem cell research and now the chimp has the power to appoint two supreme court justices. Do the Freeper's understand that they have condemned me to a life time of parkinson's disease? A life time of lonilness, pain, balance problems, crapping on myself , memory loss, restless legs, involuntairly hand movements, and much more for thier religous belief's. Dont they realize that they took away my diginity for thier religous beliefs which i dont share and yes I go to church weekly.
I am sorry for the ramble it's late and I need more dopamine. It wouldnt hurt so much if stem cell research wasnt it so close to passing.

What I guess am asking is a two fold question. One is why do I have to suffer for someone elses theological views. And secondly how can I stop this feeling of rage and turning it hate. I really dont like feeling this way. If you have any suggestions on how to stop this feeling of ugliness i am all ears. Thanks for letting me vent Danny.

9. That's my hope too. And another country WILL come up with cures
for these diseases, and it will be just another nail in the coffin of American achievement.

6. I read where Harvard has set up a separate lab financed by
money not from the government and they will be doing stem cell research there.

5. I wish I knew how to stop the hate
Its becoming worse . Reading your post and what theyre doing to you just makes me sick. The only way I temper this hatred is to keep working against them. I also have hope. Hope that we can change this and then people like you can have a better chance at a cure.

Just keep working to put them back in the extremist fringe , where they belong.

8. Thanks for the back up
You know you try to do the right thing, to lobby and fight for the disadvantaged and a cure but it's just such an uphill battle. But than there after what little social security money you get to help pay for medicine and to top it all off they want you to make you feel guilty for asking god for a cure. I really can't stand these people. Thanks guys for letting me vent today. I appreciate it.

10. I hate them for you...
and for all the other people who are harmed by their selfishness. I am so sorry you are suffering from this cruel disease. It seems so idiotic to me, that this country can stand by while the Bush administration causes so much misery world wide. Stem cell research is something our government should be pursuing vigorously; instead, science is held hostage to other people's prejudices.

If the right wing fundies have a problem with the use of stem cells, then they would be within their rights to refuse any treatments that come about because new medicines are developed. You have as much right to your beliefs as they do. The difference is that what you believe hurts nobody else, but their beliefs hurt you.

I am so sick of their holier-than-thou attitude about things. As far as them claiming that they oppose stem cell research because their hold all life sacred, that's a steaming crock of shit. Nothing in the conservative beliefs does a damn thing to help others when they need it, or feed the hungry, or care for the sick.

Their opposition to stem cell research seems to be an example of how claiming to value life fails...you are a fully self aware person...you feel pain, and sadness, and all the other feelings humans are capable of. To give you hope, to find a cure, would cause you, and so many others great joy. The fundies would rather have unwanted tissue discarded, as it is now, than use it to give you, and others, a decent quality of life.

I agree with others on this post, it's ok to feel hate for the narrow minded, selfish people who are willing to impose their own views on others. I truly, truly hope that other countries who are enlightened enough to fund and encourage stem cell research come up with a cure for you. Remember, we are here for you.

11. The problem is, they DON'T hold all life sacred!
I think Danny's life is as sacred as some fetus' life.

I think someone who has Alzheimer's has a life that is as sacred as that of a woman who's been brain-dead for fifteen years.

I think a soldier's life is just as sacred as a microscopic glob of tissues in a Petri dish.

And yes, an Iraqi's life is sacred too.

Why, even a fully-functioning woman who was raped last night has a sacred life. In fact, I think her life is more sacred than that of the zygote her rapist created.

But to the freepers, it's different. The Fetus Is Omnipotent. They worship these things, man. There's a cult surrounding The Fetus. And if you don't worship The Fetus, you're a godless commie who deserves to die.

When will the adults be back in charge?

13. Well it's still possible...
There are a lot of conservatives who support stem cell research. I don't know about the SC. With Roberts: who knows. He could be a Dodger fan and no one would know. :eyes:
