Seriously, stop it. It's unbecoming.

(it also makes you look like an ass.)

3. i think and i'm not sure
but i think the poster is referring to the posts that start up about people (usually conservatives we don't like) which ask "is _______ gay"?

4. Did you just call me an ass?
Bravo, good sir. You're a scholar and a gentleman.

I was referring to the "Delay is teh ghey" type of threads. Too many on DU accuse the Republican-of-the-Day of being gay, as if it's the Ultimate Insult. I find that to be distasteful and disrespectful. There's nothing wrong with being gay, and it hurts me to see people imply that it's some sort of shameful condition.

You dig?

15. I haven't seen a "gay DeLay" thread yet, but if there is evidence
he is, have at him. if not, well at the very least it will cause many freeps to implode. (freeps, who like the sexually unsure adolescents they often resemble, will indeed find "gay" to be the ultimate insult.) Even if DeLay had a "period of experimentation", crack it like a shiny new whip. If he ever said something like "John Roberts is a striking man", slam it like a sturdy hammer. No velvet please, Just cold, hard metal.

I say have a go at all the hypocrites who use homosexuality as a wedge issue and a vote-getter by taking away the civil rights of gays and Lesbians, and rail endlessly from the depths of their own fear, hatred, or cynicism about matters sexual. (and all do so by default, by their silence.) Lay it on. "DeLay" it on if need be.

There are many gay Republican players in DC. They should be thrashed one and all for their hypocrisy. And their fans should know just how exactly they butter their muffins.

And as for our posts, let us remember that when one "assumes" the meaning of a vague transmission , one makes an "ass" of "u" and "me".

But as we see, you no more care for being called an "ass" from the get go than do I.

I apologize for my inference, which amounted to a lapse in manners.

Truce. :-)

I can actually do a less-than-poor impersonation of him.

9. I agree completely and would like to add
Rush is bad because he's a ranting, hypocritical liar and a tool of the reptilian right. Not because he's fat.

Coulter is bad because she's a ranting, unethical liar and a tool of the reptilian right. Not because she's skinny or has what looks like an Adam's apple.

As you say, it's very unbecoming and I wish people would stop it.

11. I find those threads insulting and offensive-not worthy of a true Democrat
My immediate instinct is that anyone posting homophobic shit like that is most probably either an immature 14 year old middle-schooler or a Freeper.

That's the ultimate put-down, right?

It's amazing. (and not in a good way)

18. A couple of years ago, someone here angrily called me a "cock-sucker" and
I politely thanked him for recognizing my in-born talents! If I'm not mistaken, you got a kick out of that remark at the time and we had a good laugh!

Then again my memory may just be playing tricks on me....

19. Squirrel is always good. As for the Gayness of anyone, that is a putdown
along the lines of YO Mama does this wears that and need only be acknowledged by a raised eyebrow or a polite sneer followed by a cold shoulder. After that, the persistent slurrer should be put down onto the pavement by whatever means is available in order to educate them.

25. It's one thing when discussing closeted hypocrites such as Ken Mehlman,
quite another to just attribute it to just any random Republican, IMHO.

The former is a valid political argument, the latter is just stupid and unworthy of us.

And see what hanging out with The Magistrate does for me...the Sir, thing? :-)

Seriously, thank you. This needed to be said...I'm so, so weary of seeing these stupid, homophobic (and yes, they sure are homophobic. Let's see..."So and so is a vile, disgusting, evil creep so...he's GAY!!". Yep, homophobia) posts. It's sad to see Democrats...well, I assume they're Democrats...engaging in this sort of shit.

it's also offensive when someone says, "Oh, well he's just a c*cksucker", or "oh, bl*w me!".

We gay guys don't go around saying, "Hey, go f*ck a WOMAN! - Ewww!"
