I am betting Perjury and obstruction for Libby and Rove
They mad not have known that Plame was undercover CIA or simply may not have through the implications since at the tme shwe was on leave,,,,who knows....

But here is the thing.....Neither was Code Word cleared. Somebody who was told them about Plame. I think it has to be Cheney. That is a Federal Offense. It is doubtful that he would be charged...but if he did, he likle would claim ececutive privilege. Then. at that point....Does Bush fire Cheney (and appoint Condie as VP???/Does Cheny Resign under whithering attacks and reopening the whole debacle to congressional scrutiny?

If not Condie, who?

1. I bet the GJ investigation will be extended or ended soon
I've waited years for the results of a real investigation. I guess I can wait a couple more weeks.

2. I think the first
round of indictments will come fairly soon. The grand jurors have the information they need, and Fitzgerald will present his summery to them in a convincing manner.

Some on the democratic left will be sure the indictments do not go far enough. However, most will realize that as the trials come closer, those charged will be increasingly likely to be "turned," and to point fingers at those higher up.

The administration will be hoping to stretch the legal proceedings out. It would have been better if it had come to a head before the 2004 elections. But this is still going to be very damaging to the administration.

9. Very few people
remain loyalists when a long period of incarceration looms in their future. No defense attorneys say, "Hot damn! I admire your stupidity!" Libby is no Liddy. He'll break. (Keep in mind he has made a habit of trying to show what a tough guy he is. Real tough guys don't have to. Only those with self-doubt do.)

4. Can the President fire the VP ?

He's not an appointee, he's elected. I think he would have to be impeached and removed if he wouldn't resign - not that that would be hard if the facts were there.

5. I guess Joe wilson told Ed Schultz Thursday he thinks Rove'll be indicted,
and he was sposed to be on yesterday, too. No clue what he said.

...Ambassador Joe Wilson was on The Ed Schultz Show Thursday. Wilson told Ed that he thought Karl Rove would be indicted. – Does this new development change his thoughts? – We’ll ask Ambassador Wilson as he joins us again at 3:33 ET, on Friday’s show....
