Melanie Morgan fired?

I was listening to KGO radio early this morning and a caller announced that Melanie Morgan, right-wing witch, has been fired from KSFO, the hate talk station of the Bay Area. The caller said that she had been listening and that Melanie had announced that she had been told to pack up her things and get out.

I've been searching all over the net for confirmation and can't find a thing.
Anyone with the skinny on this?

My contract with KSFO was set to expire on Friday. My agent had been in negotiations with the station manager of KSFO (an ABC owned and operated station).

... But, for some reason, the negotiations hit a brick wall and I was asked to accept a number of bizarre compromises. My agent tried to work through the issues but I was told that for some reason the station was playing hardball. I was told on Thursday that Friday morning would be my last day of employment. I was to turn in my ABC card key that allowed me access to the building.

UPDATE: Morgan has issued an exclusive statement to the Radio Equalizer:

"I was pretty stunned. Never saw it coming. Negotiations were routine, until I got a call Thursday evening that I was not to report on-air Monday morning.

But here's the good news:

Negotiations resumed Friday, and today Mickey Luckoff and I have agreed to new contract terms.

I expect to return to the airwaves tomorrow morning.

Yep...she sure didn't know that contract was going to expire when she pulled that stunt that resulted in all those headlines and TV appearances. Yeah, not a co-incidence there one bit :sarcasm:

Good bets are she'll find a home at some Salem station...then go on a rant of how Disney was all evil and nasty.

Also maybe Disney got a little nervous with the PR firm and other political connections that paid for her folly. Which Ambramoff account do you think it came from?

When someone disappeared like this at a station I worked at we joked it was cause of "Philospophical Difference"...the corporation had one, she didn't. Good riddens for as long as we don't have to hear from that wench.
