Ok now that I scared the crap out of everyone.
turns out I just have strep throat (which i haven't had since i was 10) but don't not get tested because of me call your local public health. Somebody must be taking this semi seriously because public health on the orders of CDC got me in to the ER ahead of like 30 other people. I don't think I'm being charged either so I guess a good rule of thumb is if you want free health care glom onto a potential bio attack. They did take blood test for the CDC which I'm assuming is going to come up negative. SOrry for being so paranoid but as I said can't be too careful in this day and age.

1. I presume you went to the protest?
Glad it was just something ... ordinary?

4. i'm on amoxcillian now
should be right as rain in a few days. the CDC has my blood now so be watching for those evil shadow clones roaming about. I still urge anyone sick to get tested. Someone is taking this seriously I got into a crowded ER before like 30 people and CDC made them take me with no insurance or promise to pay. did the throat culture and it came back strep. blood tests will come through later.

For most of his life, Ed Thrall didn't know what it was like to feel good. As a child, he suffered from sleep apnea, snoring so loudly as a 12-year-old that he could wake the entire household-never mind that his own sleep was so erratic that he was perpetually tired. Then there were the allergies-a host of seasonal-related bouts of sneezing and sinus problems that forced him inside when most of his friends were out celebrating the arrival of spring in Northern Maine. And when Ed did join in on the games that were popular at the time, such as riding his bike behind the trucks that sprayed DDT along the backroads to keep mosquitoes at bay, he became plagued by a host of mysterious maladies. Once his tongue even split down the middle. Today, he believes the early exposure to DDT compromised his immune system, making him vulnerable to chronic bouts of strep throat.

6. Going to the front of the line. What does it feel like
one day in the life of a republican. Or have you turned completely and expect it all the time now?

P.S. Did they fingerprint you when you told them you were at the peace rally?

10. Glad to hear it. I had a bad scare myself this summer
I was convinced I had colon cancer (regretting not getting that colonocopy for so long). Turned out to be severe diverticulitis, which is something my mother had 30 years ago and is not fatal (unless you don't see a doctor about it). It was cleared up with a double whammy of cipro and flagyl (vile stuff). No biggie now, just eating a high fiber diet and all is well.

Whew!

16. Took a greyhound to a NYC protest in late winter 2001; came back with...
plague (I think). I ended up on three courses of antibiotics, tons of OTC pain meds and codine cough syrup for severe bronchitis. Worst thing is I gave it to my resident Aunt who refuses to see medical doctors (since she almost died from a booster shot in her early teens). She got pneumonia and we just barely pulled her through.

The organizer had her car broken into and her belongs stolen and then returned annonomously to the parking garage the next day. Thought to have been corporate thugs seeking info and sending a not so subtle message. (Up side I lost 20 lbs.)
