Sucks, don't it?

I hope most of us can all live through it.

Wake up, Bush has destroyed the last, best hope of mankind. The rest of the world is going to get fed up with the greed and kick the bully's ass.

God help us all.

1. Some Americans view the murderer and bankrobber Jesse James as a hero
I guess we are in the dark phase right now.

As long as the citizens don't condone illegal and immoral actions

8. I'm a citizen and rail against this administration... But...
They have the money/power...

Until the citizens take the country back, the world will plan on ways to hobble this terrible machine,

10. If the war in Iraq is illegal as a goodly part of the world believes,
vast numbers of our citizens and a majority of Congress have condoned actions that are illegal, immoral, inhumane, unjust, and unnecessary which says either that a goodly part of the world doesn't know what they are talking about or a goodly part of our citizens and nationally-elected officials don't give a diddledy-damn.

5. I agree, Tom
we are seen as the bad guy. On other other hand I think it is not too late. First of all, there are still plenty of folks who revere what they believe we have (for example, many of the young in Iran).

It is up to us to get this mess straightened out and regain our luster.

Even if we weren't the bully we have become, the top dog is always looked upon with suspicion.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if we really could become that shining city on the hill?

It is never too late. In this transparent world with the Internet, Satellites, video records, etc., it is very hard for totalitarians to remain in power. This is one thing that did in the Soviets. I think it will work for us, too. There are very few secrets anymore.

6. I was thinking the same thing today...
...how it's so awful that Junior has destroyed our reputation, respect and standing in the world.

Practically everyone hates us.

If they go along with us, or do us favors--it's out of fear, intimidation or because we're bribing them.

Do we have any real friends left?

It's fricking scary.

How long before China calls in the loans? How long before there are sanctions against our country?

I really, REALLY hope that the world understands that there are TWO Americas---One in which BushCo and their bizarre lemmings follow each other down the path of sickness. And the other America--were Americans are just as disgusted with Bush as the rest of the world is.

I really hope people understand that millions of us hate that piece of human debris.

11. The chickens of our foreign policy came home to roost on 9/11
But rather than seriously contemplating how and why 9/11 came to be, most Americans were just content to hear "they hate us for our freedom."

13. yeah I sadly agree
I recently traveled abroad. I don't support *, never have, never will and I am highly anti-war - always have been, always will be.

I thought that my attitude and opinions would exempt me from the hatred. However, I found that this was not the case.

I ended up returning back to the USA feeling ashamed, ashamed of my country and the horrible image they project throughout the world.

It doesn't matter if you love * or hate * ... you are hated for being an American and what America has done and continues to do to other countries in the world.

As for those Canadian flags on your luggage, that is the BIGGEST mistake one can make. It's like waving a sign saying, "I'm an American pretending to be a Canadian because I am afraid to show who I am!". This only waves a red flag in other countries and you'll get asked lots of questions as to why do you have Canadian flags on your luggage.

I returned back to the USA. It has gotten a lot worse since I returned with Katrina and soon, the next batch of Abu Ghraib pictures coming out.

We are the ones are parents warned us against. Oh yeah baby, bring it on eh?

We're screwed alright and I kinda don't think we'll recover any time real soon and forget moving to another country. They like the money you have but don't stay too damn long as you are hated, not loved. :(

A sad reality check.

14. Or, perhaps just its system of government
The experiment has lost its lustre under these bush incompetents.

Every person on the earth is an american. The constitution has been
ditched and replaced by the pledge of allegiance. The only common
thing that unites us is liberty and justice for all. This being yin to
the bush * yang. Where there is the greatest darkness is also where
is to be found the greatest light.

A free man sees no slaves or masters, only choices.

In a global history sense, this bleeding of america will lead to very
bright diaspora spreading around the free world away from the US
tyrrany, and a renissance on a global scale. So, despite that unfortunate
position as richard III in this play, america is bringing us theatre
cast itself as the evil power broker, and been relatively benign,
forgetting that all government comes from the consent of the governed.

20. I hope you are right
I hope that bastard suffers for all eternity. It burns me up to see his smirking face and the fact that he is doing as much damage as he possibly can and NO ONE.....NOT ONE PERSON WITH BALLS IS WILLING TO STOP HIM.

I got a letter from Kerry, most of you probably did too....he was belly aching about what the idiot is doing.

Incompetence. Indictments. Misguided policies. Misplaced priorities.

I wrote him back on the same e-mail and this is what I said:

Incompetence. Indictments. Misguided policies. Misplaced priorities.

Why is it so hard for you Democrats to talk about IMPEACHMENT???? If any President deserved to be impeached it is BUSH.Why do we have to wait until 2008,only to have the election stolen again? Can we afford 3 more years of this madness? IMPEACH BUSH NOW!!!!

(It was in big bold black letters. Why it never turns out that way when I paste it here I don't know.)

18. We non-Americans hate Bush......like Americans
First let me say...Canadians differentiate between the American people and the moron, Bush...We like Americans, can't stand Bush...But something you said jumped out at me...I hope you don't mind me saying this, but your belief that the U.S.A. is "the last, best hope of mankind" is one of the problems...There are many other democracies in the world, (Canada, my country for example) who feel we do not need the U.S.A. as a model...Our democracy, works very well for our citizens....Hang in there....I believe the common sense of Americans will win out over the current administration...Don't give up! :loveya:
