60 year old Miers sends a shout out to her mom? |
|
WTF :wtf:
That says more about her immaturity and the types of people BUSH surrounds himself with than anything else. Sycophants all.

2. I don't question her love for her mom, only the fact that a person |
|
of her age would not normally be tied to their mothers' apron strings. She said something like, "my mother always had faith in me..." I just think that by age 60, you've had more than a few occasions to acknowledge your mother. It's really not very professional IMHO.

Sometimes, there are people in our families that do things for us that speak so deeply of the love they have for us that they must be mentioned no matter how old we get. I know--I went to college finally when I was 30 years-old--and my dear sister helped me through it for 7 long years. Lord knows what she gave up to do so, but she did it all without a complaint--and just because it was so important to me.
When I was on the stage getting my diploma, I turned around in my cap and gown and waved to her in the huge auditorium and blew her a kiss. Many people might've thought that that gesture was 'unprofessional' or 'immature', but I did it because my sister deserved it; she was the only one who was there for me, the only one who truly deserved to be there.
I don't know this new lady judge, but if she mentioned her mom in these evening years of her life, all she did was to forever-honor her--and that's not wrong.

11. I can't hate on the lady for her looks or her love of her mother |
|
or the fact that she is 60 and single or the fact that she could be a lesbian. One of my most favorite home health patients I ever had was single and without children. She was 65. She was the county tax assessor. She did have one brief failed marriage, and was certainly proud to show off what her husband "used to own". Snark. I loved the lady. She was shrewd. Having a man doesn't make your life complete--quite the opposite sometimes. There are good reasons to hate this nomination--these aren't any of them. Of course, if she sent a shout out to her cats--I'd be worried and Bill Frist would be giddy with excitement. :silly:
