SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom, who became internationally known for his campaign a year ago to legalize gay marriage, on Monday said he considered wireless Internet access a fundamental right of all citizens. .........................

6. Yes!
If there wants to be a privatley owned company and offer cheaper internet provider then why not? Everyone should have a chance to have the internet offered at a price they can afford. When my grandfather was a live they had the internet with a local provider and it was pretty good even though they personally had dial up.
