Medicare prescription coverage biggest lie since Iraq invasion.

Here's my LTTE and what it'lll "save" me:

Well, call me a fool, but I took the President at his word. He said the new Medicare prescription drug coverage would save us at lest half the costs of our prescriptions. That's what you said, George.

I just computed the cost under the Medicare part D coverage for the prescriptions I take every month. Guess how much I saved when I included the cost of the "insurance" from a leading provider. Would you believe less than five percent? Four point five eight percent to be precise.

Oh, there may be people on simple drugs that will save a bundle, but I'm willing to bet that most are like me, taking expensive drugs for things like hypertension and high cholesterol.

For us this is the biggest ripoff since we were promised flowers and candy for invading Iraq. And this time our Republicon President and Republicrat congress aren't doing it to foreign arabs, they're doing it to the senior citizens of America. Those who can least afford it.

Well, Mr. President, I just gazed into my crystal ball and I can predict one thing for you. In the next few weeks the seniors of America will compute the "savings" you are giving them with this ponzi scheme to further enrich the pharma corps, and I predict that your popularity will reach the point that even the Republicon congress will kick you to the side of the road.

And I can't think of a more deserving person.

1. Yes, it is. It is very costly and accomplishes very little.
Recommended because it just makes me so angry. We tried to stop this thing getting passed, but no luck. Corporations won again.

2. Thank God my disabled husband
Has my insurance. For a minute, just a minute there, we thought we would get some relief in some of his prescription costs. Should have known better (He has MS, multiple medications, and is on SSI)
Excellent LTTE.
