2. Truly........
after bush's second term is over, either by getting shit-canned or serving it out, I don't want to see a Texas politician anywhere NEAR the White House for decades. It's bad enough we have to have Senators and Representatives from there but that's as far up the government food chain they go for a looooooooooong time. All apologies to our Texas DUers, but I've had it up to my ears with Texas Republicans and even a few of their Democrats. ;)

4. That's askin' a powerful lot, old son
It's a mighty big job now, keepin' them Texans from the White House, now ain't it?

But if'n I know my Texans, they don't pay no never-mind to them big jobs. The bigger the better. They like it that way.

I'd put my money on Texas kickin' them varmints plum into the Rio Grande and puttin' a progressive, 21st century governor and legislature to work in Austin by the end of the decade.

And no matter how far they have to drive, ride, walk, or crawl, they got your back if you got theirs.

Never count Texas out. Never, never, never!

There's a little bit of Texas in everybody who's an American. We're the U-nited States. Ain't nothin' we can't overcome!

6. Remember that Bush is originally from Connecticut.
He's a carpetbagger, through and through.

He's like our damned cedar problem: Imported in by some idiot who thought it was a good idea at the time, it's taken over the whole damned countryside and is crowding out the natural flora, and now we can't get rid of the invasive shit.

8. Um... most "Texans" aren't Texans, either
They're either immigrants from European countries or the descendants of slaves from the African continent. The original settlers of "Texas", the Native Americans, are the only ones who can claim that title, unless you want to start splitting hairs.

9. Want to split hairs? Let's try this: AT LEAST WE WERE BORN HERE.
How's that? Not good enough? How's this: Great grandmother was full-blooded Native American. Which limb do I get to leave here before you kick me out?

11. In *'s first run for Congressman in Texas
he was laughed at as a carpetbagger because he dressed in Bermuda shorts and loafers without socks.

10. Texas was the experimental lab for the neo-con take over. Now the rest
of the US is suffering like we did when they illegally redistricted us and turned a democratic legislature into a repuke one.

For those of you who like to sit back and blame Texas and Texans for the country's problems, consider this: don't you think that the rest of the world thinks the same about the US right now?
