over 1000 citizens in gated communities in California were killed as a result of wildfires? And what if several thousands more were missing? Meanwhile they are back to missing white females who clearly opted for risky lifestyles. Why the silence on the missing from NOLA, Biloxi and Gulfport? Edit -sp.

1. You answered your own question...they were just colored folks... |

No big deal, they're easy to replace with Mexicans who you can pay even less.

2. What's There To Report? |
|
Corporate media needs pictures and sizzle...that's what brings ratings and big revenues. Viewing levels went through the roof in the two weeks following Katrina...almost unprecedented coverage considering the flea-brained attention span of many in this country today.
What is there to show? Corrupt politicians behind doors divying up the FEMA/Tax money? Crews attempting to clean up the sludge and wreckage? Body bags on TV?
Last night I saw a report about the clean up in New Orleans and also the latest verified death toll. As far as the missing, are we certain on those numbers? All that's been relayed on threads here have been estimates of several organizations weaved together. I'm more concerned about the living in that area right now...especially the disenfranchised. Let's keep the focus on them.
