He is probably going to attempt to rally the country behind him and his war. They even had a name for today's attacks. Another Operation blah blah blah.

27. Either Iraq or Plame
He might say how great Iraq is going despite their being only
500 trained Iraqi soldiers or a preemptive strike about Plame .....
knowing that indictments are coming.

Both bush & Cheney have retained lawyers about the Plame outing.

29. He *has* to hold a news conference today -- Bill Clinton's in N.O.
Edited on Tue Oct-04-05 08:21 AM by mcscajun
and Baton Rouge today.

On Tuesday, former President Bill Clinton was to travel to Louisiana to meet with hurricane survivors at a Baton Rouge shelter, get a briefing from officials on the relief effort and tour New Orleans' largely destroyed Ninth Ward. Clinton and former President George H.W. Bush are heading up the Bush-Clinton Katrina Fund, which has raised US$100 million (euro81.8 million) to assist victims of Hurricane Katrina.

He cannot let go of today's "news cycle".

As in, bowel movement, which is about all he's got to show for a press conference today.

Not that Fox "News" wouldn't broadcast such an event, mind you.

35. I actually believe presidents should resign once they have become
ineffective politically. I've never understood why presidents like Buchanan, Hoover, Carter, and now Shrub hang around once they have entered a lame duck phase in which their unpopularity makes them ineffective.

41. They announced last week that this week's theme wd be TERROR
He's going to insist, in his photo-ops this week, that if you don't support his Iraq War then we will have more terror attacks in the U.S. This presser will probably use Bali as the pretext to begin the TERRA propaganda campaign again.
