Bush's sceret weapon against the energy crisis: The Energy Hog!

I don't get the logic here. A hog is something of mass consumption...If you're doing a conservation campaign, shouldn't your mascot symbolize something more conserving?

But then I guess this fits the current administration to a tee. Instead of coming up with good ideas themselves, they'd rather come up with a campaign that blames others...As usual.

And check out the "Who is Hog" section. It's pretty telling that gas guzzling is not to blame in any of their examples.

3. That sounds like a plan!
Your idea has considerable merit, imo. Perhaps we can get a bunch of them made up, I would be willing to contribute to the cause.

Maybe we can get one of our talented DU artists to come up with a suitable rendering...

6. remember in the campaign when he talked about "vampires"?
and then he got lost and didn't really know what he was talking about, because he knows nothing about electronics, but he was supposed to say that the little green "power" lights on plugged-in electronics were a waste of energy.

7. Have you played these games and really navigated around this site
this is disgusting.

The TV is not an energy Hog but the caulk around your window sure is. There is very little about this website that is useful.

I think the most ridiculous thing about it is that one of the "hogs" is actually the plants and shrubs in and around your house.

If this is the best idea that Bush has to fix the energy crisis we are in deep shit. This is aimed at kids and doesn't address any of the real problems.

See why they picked the hog?

9. Do we get a tax write-off if we put a sticker on our car?
Or must we own a Hummer, or other Republican-Approved Tax-Write Off for the Rich Vehicle?

10. And speakig of Hummers... let's pester Congress about that tax break
for buying those useless monsters! Time to rethink what they give breaks to! Solar, wind, and other renewable power applications =Good. Hummers = BAD. Start making policy that fits the real world.
