A change is going to come to DU.
I am maybe a bit overly optimistic but I look forward to the day when DU begins to extol the greatness of a Democratic Party congressional majority and presidency.

Now, we're in the attack mode. But, it may not be that way forever.

Wouldn't it be nice, for a change, to be in a position to stuff the Republic Party. I know there will always be opportunity to counter attack the Republics...well frankly they are just so open and easy targets.

I hope the fervor and spirit remains when the change comes. What will DU's role be when Dems control the Legislative and executive branches? I personally will speak out against any conservative agenda be it Democratic or Republic Party.

1. I'll be happy just to be able to speak
and believe my elected officials want to listen.

3. It is always more difficult to govern than to complain.
That said, assuming we can overcome dieboldism, and that's not clear to me, we can expect a Democratic government to govern through a vision of what's best for our country and our future and not on the basis of simply what is good for the people governing, aka, corruption.

4. of course we will still be here
There are always going to be social conservatives trying to drive legislation and social policy one way or another. There are always going to be corrupt politicians and government officials, both parties, and there are always going to be people who can't look at a fried chicken recipe in the lounge without entering a state of uncontrollable outrage.

We're here to stay, if Skinner will keep us.
