Miers: What law student will want to clerk for her?
Anybody on DU ever clerk for a judge? What law student in their right mind would want to work under her given she has no experience as a judge and will be learning on the job herself?

1. You make an excellent point.
But there'll be some Republican critter-kiddy out there who wants a chance to shine...and what better way than by being the voice behind the justice? That clerkship will fit like a Rove...I mean Glove.

2. You'll have to ask (or read the memoirs of) the law students that..
clerked for Earl Warren, William O. Douglas, William Howard Taft, Hugo Black and 33 other judges. They didn't have judicial experience either.

6. Actually
in the 1970s the Giants drafted a sprinter named Rocky something, who had never even SEEN a football game, under the theory he was the "best athlete available." Took them four years before they finally threw up their hands and admitted he wasn't a football player....

4. There would be plenty of law students
"in their right mind" who would clerk for any Supreme Court Judge - regardless.

7. Every "Christian Law" law school student at Jerry Falwell's
Liberty University, and every Regents or Bob Jones University graduate that found their way to law school. Not to mention a whole bunch of like minded ideologues at SMU, BYU, Oral Roberts, etc.
